International Relations Summit: Bridging Worlds at Audentes International

It is with great pleasure and honor that we reflect on a remarkable event that recently took place at our esteemed institution. Our school had the privilege of hosting two distinguished guests for a panel discussion on the relevance of International Relations to students. We were honored to welcome His Excellency, the Ambassador of India to Estonia - Shri Ajneesh Kumar, and His Excellency, the Ambassador of Hungary to Estonia - Pál András.

International Relations is a subject that goes beyond academic boundaries. It plays a critical role in shaping the world we live in. For students, gaining insights into global dynamics is necessary not only for academic growth, but also for becoming informed and engaged global citizens. The discussions held during the event highlighted how these dynamics can help in creating a more inclusive and peaceful world.

Our first guest, His Excellency, the Ambassador of India to Estonia, shared his invaluable experience and insights into the multifaceted relationship between India and Estonia. He highlighted India’s emergence as a global powerhouse in various fields, ranging from technology to culture. His Excellency underscored the importance of fostering strong diplomatic ties and explained how these relationships directly impact students. He spoke about the numerous opportunities available for students through bilateral cooperation, educational exchanges, and cultural diplomacy. His Excellency also mentioned the future of India’s education system, aiming to open a medical college in every district, which might be appealing to medical students. Furthermore, India has also been recognized for its engineering colleges such as IIT which have international seats secured for students, should they wish to pursue engineering in India.

His Excellency, the Ambassador of Hungary to Estonia, brought his wealth of experience in diplomacy to the discussion. He elaborated on Hungary’s rich history and its strategic role in Europe, emphasizing how this influences regional dynamics and partnerships worldwide. His insights provided students with a deeper understanding of how they can engage with Hungary, explore educational opportunities, and contribute to building bridges between our nations. His Excellency also underscored the importance of the Hungarian language, and how a lot of Nobel winners have indicated an inclination to studying the language.

The panel discussion encouraged active participation from students, who were eager to engage with our esteemed guests. The ambassadors’ perspectives illuminated the real-world applications of International Relations, demonstrating that it is not merely a subject confined to textbooks but a living reality that influences our lives.

The event concluded with a powerful message: by understanding and embracing the principles of diplomacy, cooperation, and mutual respect, students can become global citizens equipped to address the challenges of the 21st century. The ambassadors’ insights were not just enlightening but also empowering, providing students with a roadmap to actively engage in international relations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, the Ambassador of India to Estonia, and His Excellency, the Ambassador of Hungary to Estonia, for their time and wisdom. Their presence and perspectives have left an indelible mark on our students, inspiring them to look beyond borders and contribute to a more connected and harmonious world.

We would also like to thank all the students involved in the project, namely, Aaryan Srivastava, Daria Senkina, Sofia Maltseva, Andrei Khaustauv, Ilia Kapelin and Alisa Masli. We would also like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at Audentes International School for their help.
